October Harvest
I think patriotism still maters because it means you show pride in your country. When you wear red, white, and blue you represent United States of America. What if no one ever represented the U.S.A, our army wouldn’t feel as important. If no one ever said the pledge any more don’t you think the U.S.A’s spirit as a country would be brought down? When do you show patriotism? How do you show it? I show my patriotism by saying the pledge every morning. On July 4th I wear red, white, and blue and watch the colorful fireworks. People in the army are defending our country to keep us safe. So why can’t we everyday say the pledge and show our spirit. We all need to love our country and respect our differences and work as one to make this country the greatest. Being patriotism is showing loyal to the country. Loyal to this country and be done my just speaking about the U.S.A. in a good way, and also not planning any attacks on the U.S.A. That’s being loyal. What makes our country better than others is that we all have freedom. In the pledge, you say “liberty and justice for all’. Our country has done that with having no more slavery and you can basically live your life because we all have freedom. So yes patriotism still matters today because if it didn’t we wouldn’t have the spirit our country needs which some countries don’t have making them not have patriotism. If we did not we wouldn’t be loyal to our country. No liberty and justice for all, which some places don’t have what we have and we are fortunate to have this, but the last thing we wouldn’t have is love. We need to love our country because we live here and it is our duty to take care of the U.S.A.
